Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to head next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could help the group enter places they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.
Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
